California Bowl Sushi & Teriyaki, shrimp tempura

Here's my proof shoot/index print for what I ate at California Bowl Sushi & Teriyaki(9250 Reseda Blvd). I usually end up at this restaurant when I'm really hungry and have to eat right away instead of going to a fast-food restaurant which is quicker and cost less. Somehow I feel by going to this restaurant I'm getting more nutritious meals at California Bowl. Overall the food is fine but it's not great Japanese food and I get this vibe that it's not a Japanese company that's serving Japanese food, but should that matter? It shouldn't but I just can't pinpoint it that it's Koreans running the show. Anyway the ones I've gone to are both located in Northridge where I rarely come away hugely dissatisfied or highly pleased.

 

What I ordered back on 10/13/12 was shrimp tempura and udon. At the other restaurants that served shrimp tempura and udon the shrimp is in the udon with three pieces. I didn't expect the udon to be out of the udon and only two pieces. The batter to the shrimp tempura was a bit heavy but it wasn't oily. The udon was good and didn't have a heavy miso flavor.

I'll say this much for a Japanese restaurant that's clearly Korean-style. It's not bad. Nice employees, clean restaurant and reasonable prices for what they serve.

BBCN Bank Building

This "index prints"/"proof sheet" is a bank building a block east of the Wiltern Theatre in L.A.-Koreatown. As alwasy I try and take pictures of the city of L.A. that is seen throught a non-out-of-towner Los Angeleno and at the same time be a real estate photographer.

Part 2, BBCN Bank Building

I was surprised that I wasn't told to stop taking pictures of these two building located at 3701 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. Somehow when I take these types of pictures and I'm not making a scene a security guard comes running and fuming towards me to stop taking pictures. Their reaction is a bit annoying. It's like I'm vandalizing their property and all I'm doing is taking pictures.
